Frank C. Parker Sr., age 76, died Saturday afternoon, March 25, in a Savannah hospital as the result of injuries received in an automobile accident near Tuskegee, Ala. two weeks ago. Mr. Parker came to Statesboro in 1909 from Avera, Ga., and was a livestock dealer until 1936 when he and his son opened the F. C. Parker and Son Stockyard. He was active in the livestock business until several years ago when he sold out his interest. He was a Mason, a Shriner and an Elk.

Mr. Parker is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lizzie Allen Parker, one daughter, Mrs. Frances Brown, one son, F. C. Parker Jr., all of Statesboro, six grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Mae Waters, Mrs. Marion Rauers and Mrs. Edna Aenchbacher, all of Savannah and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, March 27, at 2:30 o'clock from the Chapel of Barnes Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Robert Smith officiating. Burial was in the East Side Cemetery.
