Anna was the 8th child of 11 born to Margaret Agnes(Fitzgerald) and Sylvester Barron in Weller, Iowa where her parents farmed.

She was baptized there in St Mary's Church. Her parents sold their Iowa holdings and took a homestead in Idaho. Her brother Carl was killed there. In Idaho the homestead was rough.(Between man tall sagebrush that had to be cleared and wild rabbits.) Her brothers played baseball for a team from Mountain Home Idaho and during one of these games she met a player from the Spokane team, Clarence G. Rich. They were married in Mountain Home, Jan 3, 1912 with her sister Mary as a Witness. They settled in Spokane until Clarence lost his job with the railroad. In 1915 they took a homestead with Clarence's brother, Ernest, and parents Frank and Lizzie (Hunter) Rich at Dean, Montana. To the Ranch each male added 160 acres and the Rich Ranch at Dean began.

Anna and Clarence had 4 children there;

Susan Anne 1928

She went to the hospital for surgery in Billings in 1943 and died there.
