Thomas was a man of many talents: Christian, member of Old Baptist Church Choestoe Church Union Co., Ga, where he was a very active member, school teacher, merchant, carpenter, some of the houses he built still stand in 2005, read the law, politician and some say Minister.

In later years he sold his property in Young Harris,Towns Ga and moved to Danielsville, Ga where he died. He is buried in Old Union B.C. Cem in Young Harris Ga.
