Funeral services were held over the remains of the late Jacob Goodyear, who died Tuesday, aged seventy years, at the residence of his son-in-law, Frederick Rudy, No. 246 Liberty street, yesterday morning. The interment took place at eleven o'clock in the Mt. Zion cemetery at Churchtown, where Mr. Goodyear lived for a number of years being engaged in the sewing machine business.
Deceased is survived by the following children: Mrs. Frederick Rudy, William, Frederick and Mark Goodyear, of this city, and Mrs. Levi Rudy, of Carlisle; Mrs Samuel Gates, of Shippensburg, and Mrs. Shoop, wife of Rev. David Shoop, of Mechanicsburg.
