Mrs. Alice Thornton Meriwether Jones, 89, of Fredericksburg died Saturday, Oct. 4, at the Community General Osteopathic Hospital in Harrisburg, Pa.
A native of Lynchburg, she was the widow of Michael G. Jones and a physician's bookkeeper. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and a member of Daughters of the American Revolution.
Survivors include a daughter, Anne Jones Dickerson of Harrisburg; two sisters, Ruth Earley of Jacksonville, Fla., and Helen Martin of Lakeland, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
A funeral will be held 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel, with the Rev. Kent D. Rahm officiating.
Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kent Cueman and Pat Gallagher.
