She was born in Hamilton, OH on April 6, 1920, and was the daughter of the late Samuel and Nettie Allen. On June 8, 1940, Ruth married her husband, Albert McGuire, in Hamilton. They just celebrated their 67th anniversary in June. She worked as a secretary at Champion Papers at Knightsbridge for many years and was a long-term member of the Westwood Presbyterian Church. Ruth was a deacon and an elder at Westwood, as well as, a member of the Red Hat Society and the "Groovy Grannies Club". Ruth is survived by her husband, Albert McGuire and four sons Michael J. McGuire, Timothy L. McGuire both of Hamilton; Todd A. (Brenda) McGuire of Oxford and Ted A. (Jamie) McGuire of Camden; eleven grandchildren and one great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Jess Allen, sisters Amy Allen, Marie Graves, Fay Weed and Hazel Allen and a great granddaughter, Oliva McGuire. Funeral services will be held on Sunday August 19, 2007 at 2 pm at the Webb Noonan Funeral Home, at Ross and South "D" Street with Pastor Josh Long officiating. Interment will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 12pm until the time of service. The family suggest contributions be made to either The Ft Hamilton Hospice Unit or to Westwood Presbyterian Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
