Emma McCoy Anderson, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2011, at the age of 83. Graveside service: 2:15 p.m. Thursday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery with Pastor Terry Skinner officiating. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Brown, Owens & Brumley Funeral Directors.
Emma was born to Rubin and Amanda McCoy on Jan. 9, 1928, in Parker County. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Angus M. Anderson; son, Milburn Wayne Anderson; and eight brothers and sisters.
Survivors: Daughter, Glenda Evans and husband, Derell; daughter-in-law, Terri Anderson; granddaughter, Miranda Gonzales and husband, Justin; granddaughter, Katrina Evans; granddaughter, Wendi Anderson; granddaughter, Toni Anderson; grandson, Troy Johnson and wife, Jody; great-granddaughters, Whitney Johnson and Addyson Gonzales; great-grandson, Elijah Anderson; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
