Leon Beal, 68, of Ross Corner, died unexpectedly while working at Waterboro Saturday afternoon. York County Medical Examiner, Dr. Carl E. Richards, ruled death due to natural causes.
He was born January 1, 1902 at Shapleigh, son of Ansil (Ansul) and Freda Beal, and was a retired woodsman.
Mr. Beal is survived hy his wife, Mrs. Hazel Cram Beal; a daughter, Mrs. Arlene Flanders, Ross Corner; two brothers, Roscoe Beal, Gorham, and Sidney Beal, Waterboro; and a grandson.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Carll-Heald Funeral Home, 61 Main Street, Springvale. The Rev. Chandler Holmes, pastor of the North Waterboro Baptist Church officiated. Interment was in the Beal Cemetery, Ross Corner, Shapleigh.
