Abraham Funkhouser, son of Jacob Funkhouser Sr. was born near Strasburg, Va. about 1746, married Elizabetha Rosina Brodbeck (Brubeck) 2 Jan. 1773 in Shenandoah Co. Va. and died in Beaver Co. Pa. about 1 June 1825. Rosina was the daughter of Adam Brodbeck, who emigrated from Canton Basel Switzerland in 1749 and settled near the Funkhousers in Virginia by 1762. Abraham lived for a while near Strasburg, Va. but then moved further south in Shenandoah Co. and lived on Stony Creek and about 1800 moved to Beaver Co. Pa. He lived in North Sewickley Township in Beaver Co. His will was probated 8 June 1825 (Beaver Co. Will Book VA p. 199). His son Jacob married Nancy Showalter in Shenandoah Co. Va. in 1797 and later lived in Ripley Co. Ind. where he died in 1840. Frieda Wilson who has postings elsewhere compiled a genealogy of this family in 1972--

6. John, b.1785; d.1829; m. Rebecca VanKirk, Pa.
7. Abraham Jr., b. 1787; d. May 1831. Pa.
8. Magdalena b. about 1790; d. unm. after 1812
