Former Markle Woman Is Called
Mrs. Melissa Risser Dies At Huntington; Burial Is At Markle
Mrs. Melissa Risser, 87, a former resident of Rockcreek township, east of Markle, widow of Charles Risser, died at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Stewart convascent home in Huntington, after an illness of a month.
The decedent was born east of Markle Mar. 14, 1854, and she had resided in that vicinity until she went to Huntington about 18 months ago.
Surviving is a son, Fred, of Huntington.
The body was taken to the McGuffey funeral home in Markle, and funeral services were held this afternoon at the Markle Methodist church, of which Mrs. Risser was a member. Rev. A. C. Mischmeier, the pastor, had charge. Burial was in the Markle cemetery.
