Mary Etta Martz, 65, widow of James Martz, died of heart trouble on Feb. 15 at her home in Grand Rapids, Mich. She is survived by three sons, Charles of Sand Lake, Mich., Russell of Chicago, and Floyd of Grand Rapids; one daughter, Mrs. Clayton Bachert of Comstock Park, Mich.; one brother, Dallas Baer of Grand Rapids, and thirteen grandchildren. She was the daughter of Eli and Ellen Baer and was reared near Mattix Corner. After her marriage to James Martz she lived in Mulberry until 1922, when, with her husband and family, she moved to Grand Rapids.
A sister, Dora, first wife of Bob Rex, preceded her in death.
