The death of H.M. Beason on December 10 at the home of his daughter Mrs. Alex Davis and family who lived three miles west of here markes the passing of another of Douglas County's oldest and most respected citizens. Mr. Beason had been in poor health for some time and the end was not unexpected.
He was born in Alabama April 27, 1840, but moved to Missouri while only a child. He has lived in Douglas County about sixteen years, having resided on a farm west of here until the death. Mr. Beason was a member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and has lived a Christian life since boyhood.
