He was born June 16, 1884, in Roaring Spring, the son of Samuel and Elizabeth (Hainley) Ayers.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Thelma Seiders of Juniata; two grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Kane of Clearwater, FL, and Mrs. Sarah Barrett of Juniata.
Mr. Ayers retired as a brakeman from the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1946. He was a member of Railroad Trainmen.
Friends will be received in the Scaglione Funeral Home form 7 to 10 p.m. today.
