GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Michael McDaniel, 44, of Wayside will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Smith Funeral Home, Greenville. He died May 20, 2009, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will be in County Line Community Cemetery, Glen Allan.
Mr. McDaniel was born Feb. 7, 1965, at Delhi, La., to Howard and Juanita McDaniel. He grew up in Oak Grove, La., where he received his education. He had been a resident of the Greenville area since 1985. He was a self-employed construction contractor.
He was preceded in death by his father, Howard McDaniel, and two brothers, Jimmy McDaniel and David McDaniel.
He is survived by his mother, Juanita McDaniel of Oak Grove, La.; his wife, Nancy McDaniel of Wayside; one daughter, Mika Ann McDaniel of Wayside; three brothers, Ricky McDaniel of Goodwill, La.; Jerry McDaniel of Kilborne, La., and Don McDaniel of Baton Rouge, La.; two sisters, Elizabeth Gaines of Oak Grove, La., and Debra Jones of Bastrop, La.; and one grandson, Cayden Kristofer Michael McDaniel.
Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m. until service time.
The Rev. Terry Jordan will officiate the services.
