DEATH OF R. PORTER
R. Porter, for more than twelve years a highly respected resident of Meadow township. died of pneumonia Monday of this week after a brief illness. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon and a large number of friends attended. Interment was made in the village cemetery.
The family will have the heartfelt sympathy of the community in their sorrow.

OBITUARY
Rosencrants Porter, who lived in Meadow township, died Monday evening, April 14, at 7:17 o'clock, of plurisy pneumonia. Deceased was born in Eaton, Kentucky, May 15, 1866, and was 57 years, 10 months and 29 days old at the time of his death. Mr. Porter moved from Eagle Bend to Sebeka in 1914, where they have since resided. Deceased is survived by his wife and eight children, five boys and three girls, namely; Mrs. O. Nelson of Portland, Oregon; Jesse Porter of Sebeka; Ed. Porter of Nimrod; Earl, Mike, John, Dora and Anna who are at home. Deceased is also survived by five brothers and five sisters, namely; Sam and Andrew of Alexandria; Val and Alick, of Norcross, Minn.; Marion of Colorado, and Mrs. Anna Showers of Morris, Minn.; Mrs. Charles Palmer, and Maggie Allis, of Willow Creek, Minn; Mrs. Lue Martin, and Lucile Johnson of Portland, Oregon.
