Jeanette (Howard) Johnson died in her daughter's car of a heart attack. They were on their way to the hospital. She was survived by nine daughters: Nellie Smith of Story City; Gladys Larson, of Winnebago, MN; Lila Lee of Story City; Marie Duntz of Des Moines, Iowa; Isabelle Hammer of Gary, Indiana; Lois Mason; and Faye Busch of California. Her son William P. Johnson of Winnebago, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband Clinton E. Johnson in 1939, an infant son, Walter and another son, Max who died in 1932 in a car accident.
