BENNINGTON – Mable Dunican, 77, widow of Alfred Dunican and resident of Overlea Road, died Sept. 16, 2000, at her home, after a brief illness. She was born June 27, 1923 in Union Village, the daughter of Frank and Ida King. She attended Union Village school. Mrs. Dunican was first married to Charles Dunican. He died in 1966. She later married Alfred Dunican. He died in 1976.
In earlier years, she worked at the former Bell Laundry in Bennington. She had lived in Newport, N.H., for several years, before returning to Bennington. Survivors include two sons, Chester R. Parker and Anthony F. Parker Sr., both of Bennington; two sisters, Eva Santaw of Newport, N.H. and Shirley Sargent of Swanzey, N.H.; a brother, Robert King of Marlboro, N.H.; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. A brother, Harry King; and four sisters, Lena Gould, Millie Garan, Sheila Walker and Doris Wheeler are deceased. Funeral services will be private. Burial will be at the Park Lawn Cemetery . . .
