MISS FLORENCE JONES IS TAKEN BY DEATH

Miss Florence Jones, high school teacher at Elkhart and well known in the Monroe vicinity, died Friday at Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette. She became ill while visiting with her brother, Herbert R. Jones, at Lafayette and had been hospitalized since April 20.

Miss Jones, who was born near Winchester, was graduated from Purdue University in 1926, and had taught at Elkhart for 35 years. She lived in Elkhart with Miss Louise Busche, also a teacher in the Elkhart Schools.

Miss Jones visited often in Monroe with Miss Busche, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ernest W. Busche.

Surviving are four brothers and two sisters.

Services at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at First Methodist Church at Elkhart, with burial at Rossville Cemetery.
