John Wesley Beale was born on March 30th, 1867 in Isle of Wight County, Virginia. He married Nellie Eliza Addison around 1895. They had 11 children, Daisy, Enola, Louise, Eunice, John A., Nellie, Randolph, Rudolph, Henderson, Earle and Margaret. He worked as a Foreman for the city. He was given a car to drive and a nice office. He also had a secretary. After his wife Nellie passed away he took his son Earle, and moved from the home he had shared with his wife. His daughter Margaret and her daughter Virginia also moved with him. Margaret helped him care for Earle and take care of the house. He was just too sad to live in his old home. He kept a vegetable garden in the back yard and also made furniture. There are some pieces that he made still in the family today.
