Enola had dark red hair which she parted down the middle and had fair skin. She was a very sweet and special girl. She sold clover leaf salve in the neighborhood and always put one tenth of what she made away to give in church. She loved her church and was baptized and went to every church service. Enola was only 12 when she died. She had dropsy, caused by a weak heart. When she died they closed the school down for the day. Her body was prepared at the house and she was dressed in her favorite dress and laid out on her bed. The men made her a wooden coffin and she was taken to Oakland Cemetery for a funeral service and burial.
