Caroline Isabelle Santos was born on 5 January 1925, in Honoluu, Hawaii. She was one of four children of Antone "John" and Antonina "Nina" (Dias) Santos. Lived her younger years in Hawaii, and attended school there as well.

On 3 December 1944, in Honolulu County, Hawaii her and Wallace G. Hancock decided to get married. Together they had two children. After their marriage she acompanied Wallace stateside, while he continued his Naval Career. Eventually settling in San Antonio, Texas.

On 31 May 2006, in San Antonio, Texas Caroline joined her husband Wallace in heaven. Her remains are buried in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at San Antonio, Texas.
