He is the fifth of nine children born to Anthony and Susanna (Andrews) Clever. He married Esther Martha Andrews on Dec 1, 1886. He is the father of Leland Reese, Lucy Bell (Cotsenmoyer), and Clara May (Lemley Palm). He is the brother of Sophronia, John, Henry, Willis, George, Cora, Rosa and Mary Clever.

BELLVILLE.--Andrew Clever, 83, retired farmer, died Sunday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Cotsie, of Butler.
Mr. Clever was a life-long resident of the Bellville community.
Besides Mrs. Cotsie, he is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Walter Lelmley of Fredericktown, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one brother, George, of Kissimmee, Fla.
