LEXINGTON--Word has been received here of the death yesterday morning in Kissimmee, Fla., of George Clever, 81, a former resident of Lexington. Mr. Clever had been living in Kissimmee for the past five years and had been in ill health most of that time. He had lived in the Lexington community all of the rest of his life with the exception of five other years when he resided in California. Mr. Clever was the last of a family of nine, four of his brothers having died within the past year. Surviving are his widow, Katherine, a son, Lloyd, of Lexington, Mrs. William Griebling, of Lexington, nine grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. LEXINGTON -- The body of George Clever, 81, who died Monday in Kissimmee, Fla., arrived today at the Snyder funeral home. A former Lexington resident, Mr. Clever had resided in Kissimmee for the past five years and was in ill health most of that time. He was a native of Lexington. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the Snyder funeral home by Rev. O. G. Misamore. Burial will be in Lexington cemetery. Surviving are the wife, Katherine; a son, Lloyd of Lexington; a daughter, Mrs. William Griebling of Lexington; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
