After marrying Abraham Hoffman in 1815, Elizabeth moved with him to the Samuel Hoffman plantation, where they lived in the old log house on Henry River.

By 1820 the couple had two small children. (Nicholas and Francis 'Fanny')
Four more known children were to follow. Namely: Sarah 'Sally', William 'Billy', Daniel Calvin, and Abraham Noah.

Elizabeth 'Betty' was widowed in 1835.
She married her second husband George Mosteller before 1840, and they lived in Catawba County.

By the early 1850's Betty was widowed for the second time.
Sometime in the mid 1850's Betty married a third time. Her third husband was Philip Rudisell III who died before 1860.

The 1860 Catawba Census shows that Elizabeth Burns Hoffman Mosteller Rudisell is living with her son Noah, his wife, and their two young children.

Betty had sold her Abraham Hoffman dower lands to her son Nicholas.

In 1876 Betty died and was buried beside her first husband Abraham Hoffman. Betty's son Nicholas paid for burial, shroud and coffin for his mother.
