WESTFIELD - Mrs. Betty Lou George, 69, of Joyce Acres Road, Westfield, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2005, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mrs. George was born Dec. 4, 1935, in Davie County to Elias Denton Ijames and Nancy Frances Dennis. She was a retired schoolteacher for the Patrick County school system, a farmer's wife, a homemaker and a member of Westfield Baptist Church. Mrs. George was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Nancy Myers. Mrs. George is survived by her loving husband, Conrad, of the home; a son, Bryan George; a daughter and son-in-law, Reba and Todd McInnis; a brother, Dennis Ijames; and a sister, Letty Sue Hinshaw. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 10, at Westfield Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ricky Rogers and the Rev. Linda Blessings officiating. Interment will follow in Westfield Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today, July 9, at Cox-Needham Funeral Home.
