Voyce Sanders Drachenberg, 83, of Alvin, Texas, passed away Friday, Aug. 15, 2008, at Methodist Hospital Houston. Voyce was born Aug. 29, 1924, in Rockdale, Milam County, Texas, to parents, Macron Lucus and Frances Maud Bownds Sanders.

Funeral services are 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008, at West Side church of Christ in Alvin, followed by interment at Woodmen of the World Cemetery in Rosenberg, Texas.

Visitation is 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, 2008, at Scott Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters; and three brothers.

Voyce was baptized at age 10 in Friendship, Texas, and remained a faithful member of the church of Christ throughout her life. She was married Aug. 14, 1946, in Rosenberg, Texas, to Cecil Drachenberg, who preceded her in death in 1985. They moved to Alvin in 1950 where Cecil was employed by Alvin Independent School District until his retirement in 1980.

Voyce is survived by her daughter, Pat Drachenberg of Alvin; sons, Tim Drachenberg and wife, Rhonda, of Humble, Texas, and Mike Drachenberg and wife, Paula of Huffman, Texas; sister Valentine Evans of Taylor, Texas; sisters-in-law, Winnie Sanders of Crockett, Texas; and Elizabeth Zatopek of La Grange, Texas, five grandchildren: Cary Owens and husband, Ron, of Abilene, Steven Drachenberg of Austin, Natalie Joe Kammerdiener and husband, Rodd, of Porter, Texas, Lauri Bath Drachenberg of Huffman, Jim Drachenberg and wife, Annie of Houston; two great-grandchildren, Krista Binet Owens and Kayla Brianne Owens; both of Abilene, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Scott Family, 1421 East High 6 in Alvin.
