Darrel was born Aug. 16, 1938, in Floydada, Texas, to Willie and Mamie Bunch.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Billy and Barry, who died as infants.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Arlene Bunch; two daughters, Tanya Whitlock and husband Perry, and Brenda Harrington and husband Thomas; three grandsons, Tommy Harrington, and Jonathon and Andrew Whitlock; two granddaughters, Katy and Bonnie Harrington, all of Carrollton; one sister, Joy Finely of Midland; and a brother, Rodney Bunch and wife Vicki of Carrollton.
