Marcus was the son of Cyrenius Waite Ard Sr and Talitha Flemming.
He was one of twelve children.
Dorcas Elnora, James Mare, Samuel Rush, Franklin Hansford, Victoria Isabel,
Virgina Genivie, Timothy David, Micheal Marvin, Telitha Jane, Cyrenius and Myrtle Lee.

Marcus Ard Succumbs

Mr. Marcus L. Ard, 85, a brother of C.W. Ard of this city, succumbed last Saturday at Rosary Hospital, Campbellsville. Mr Ard was a retired painter formerly residing at Horse Cave, but in recent years resided with a daughter Mrs. Earl Wright, at Buffalo.
Other survivors are a son Otha M. Ard, Cincinnati; a sister, Mrs. Myrtie Lee Maples, Connersville, Ind., three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Furneral services were conducted at Horse Cave Tuesday afternoon.
