Art and Darlene were owners of Bevers Center Cafe for 17 years. Art proudly served in the Army in WWII as a mess sergeant in Europe during the crossing of the Rhine River. Art and Darlene were married for 55 years.
They had six children: Ron, Karen (deceased), His
brothers Joe Leon and Lewis. His parents, three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
Mass at St. Martin's in La Mesa on Monday, Feb 24, 2003, and burial at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery. Isaac Tubb will play taps. Published in U-T San
