Alice Mariah Lathrop Fuller was the daughter of William Lathrop and Maria Louisa Newton. Her father William Lathrop was descended from Samuel Lathrop, son of Rev. John Lathrop and Hannah Howse (see Findagrave Memorial # 88068630). Alice was born in Vermont, as were her parents and many of her 13 siblings. The Lathrop family eventually moved to Wisconsin where Alice met her husband Herkimer Fuller, a descendant of Edward Fuller of the Mayflower Fullers. In the 1900 U.S. Census, Alice is found in De Smet, Kingsbury, South Dakota residing with her children Merton Ellenwood Fuller, Arthur Stanley Fuller, Glenora Fuller, and Angeline Fuller. Ultimately Alice moved to Skagit County, Washington. Several of her siblings ended up moving to Washington state as well, including: Harrison William Lathrop; Andrew Jackson Lathrop; Elizabeth Columbia Lathrop (mrd Curtis); Minnie Isobel Lathrop (mrd Bangle); Adelia N. Lathrop (mrd Thorne); and Anna "Annie" Lathrop (single, never married).
