Harrison William Lathrop was the son of William Lathrop and Maria Louisa Newton. His father William Lathrop was descended from Samuel Lathrop, son of Rev. John Lathrop and Hannah Howse (see Findagrave Memorial # 88068630). Harrison was born in Vermont, as were his parents and many of his 13 siblings. The Lathrop family eventually moved to Wisconsin. In 1869 Harrison met and married his wife, Sarrah J. Leach. Harrison and Sarrah continued to reside in Wisconsin even though Harrison´s family kept moving west, settling eventually in the State of Washington. At some point in time between 1880 and 1900, Sarrah Lathrop passed away. After the death of his wife, Harrison followed his family to Washington state. In the 1900 U.S. Census, Harrison is listed as a widower, in Skagit County, WA residing with his siblings: Andrew Jackson Lathrop and and Anna "Annie" Lathrop. Some of Harrison´s other siblings who also resided in Washington state include: Alice Mariah Lathrop (mrd Fuller); Elizabeth Columbia Lathrop (mrd Curtis); Minnie Isobel Lathrop (mrd Bangle); Adelia N. Lathrop (mrd Thorne). Harrison William Lathrop relocated to California in his later years. He resided at Sawtelle Veterans Home in Los Angeles until, it is presumed his death, in 1919.
