Of Bonita Dies:
Rites Held Friday
Funeral services were held at 3 o'clock
last Friday afternoon at Bonita Baptist
church for Mrs. Minda Phillips, well-known
Bonita resident and lifelong resident of this county.
Mrs. Phillips died at 7:30 p.m. January 22.
Rev. Jimmy Jefferies officiated and burial was in the Nocona cemetery under the directions of Scott Bros.
Mrs. Phillips was born April 9, 1880 in Montague county, the daughter of J.C. and Nancy Langford Howard. She was married December 24, 1898 to A. Spence Phillips, who survives.
Other survivors are one son,J.M. Phillips of Fort Worth and one brother Buck Howard of Abernathy,Texas.
Bearers were Duncan Ballinger, J.E. Langford, Joe Janeway, R.D. Tompkins, Ed Cooksey, George Webber.
