Aveline was affectionately known by all as "Mamaw". She was born August 1, 1909, in Hopkins County as the daughter of William David Haddock and Gertrude Raines Haddock. She attended Branom schools. On August 2, 1927, she married Robert Boyce Gentry in Sulphur Springs, TX. He preceded her in death in 1969.
She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed participating in the meetings of the Cardiac Rehab Group that meets on Thursdays.
Aveline was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brother Marvin Haddock, sister Minnie Bailey and son-in-law James McCool. Survivors include her daughter Mary McCool of Sherman; sisters Juanita Gunter and Mattie Wallace of Commerce; granddaughter Melissa McCool Clifton and husband James of Sherman; Ruth and Harmon Ivie of Grandbury and their son David Harmon of Mesquite; and numerous nieces and nephews.
