Born Feb. 13, 1919, in Hopkins County, she was the daughter of William David and Flora Gertrude Raines Haddock. Mrs. Bailey retired from Sanger Harris in Dallas.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry Roan and wife Anna of Pearl, Miss., and Clarence Roan and wife Carol of Blooming Grove; sisters Aveline Gentry of Sherman and Juanita Gunter and Mattie V. Wallace of Commerce; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Her parents and her husband, Russell Bailey, preceded her in death.
The family requests memorials be made to Catholic Charities, 942 North Street, Jackson, MS 39202.

She was a loving and caring sister to my dad and the same with us, his children. She gave Odessa and me a pretty dress a piece when we each graduated from high school.
