William Brierly 77 years old a former Vanderbilt jeweler for 27 years, died at 9:10 o'clock Wednesday night at his home at Reidmore road, South Connellsville,after being bed fast about a week. Pneumonia was given as the cause of death. Mr Brierly, who was located in the jewelry business at Vanderbilt for 27 years, moved to Scottdale and then came to South Connellsville two years ago. He is survived by his widow Mrs Agnes Ritenour Brierly, a Daughter Mrs Phyllis Thomas of Scotdale; three grandchildren, Two sisters Mrs Elizabeth Garlick and Mrs Hannah Collins and two brothers, Edward and Charles Brierly. There will be a brief funeral service at the home at 1:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon with full rites at the Vanderbilt Christian Church at 2:30 o'clock. Arrangments will be in charge of Funeral Director Frank B. Galley of Dawson.
