IRA CHAD PHILLIPS
ARLINGTON - Ira Chad Phillips, 64, died Saturday morning at is home. He was born in Tinmouth May 22, 1901, a son of Ira Chad and Nellie (Hulett) Phillips Sr.
Until 1964 he had lived in Pawlet. He had been employed by Hale Company in East Arlington.
Survivors are his wife, the former Alta M. Squires; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Borden of Jamaica; a brother, Percy Phillips of Tinmouth; three sisters, Mrs. Corliss Senecal of Bennington, Mrs. Joseph A. Hunt Jr. of Cleveland, Ohio; mrs. Iona Briggs of Montague, Mass.; nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 pm at the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home in Arlington. The Rev. Clement G. Belcher, rector of St. James Episcopal Church, will officiate. Entombment will be in Evergreen Cemetery with spring burial in the family lot in the Dorset Cemetery.
