Carol A. Huffman
Carol Ann (Detamore) Huffman, 66, of the Selbyville Community, died at her sons home, Sidney Huffman, Tuesday, May 20, 2003, after a long period of declining health.
She was born May 28, 1936, in Centralia, a daughter of the late James Maracellus and Letha A. Frame Detamore. She was raised at Alton.
She is survived by four sons, Virgil Huffman and wife, Lorena, of Creston, Ohio, Arnold Huffman and wife, Connie, of Creston, Ohio, Sidney Huffman and wife, Krista, of Buckhannon, and Kevin Huffman of Tallmansville; two daughters, Rachel Adams and husband, Herman, of Selbyville, and Wilma Mattingly and husband, John, of Lodi, Ohio; and eight grandchildren.
Also surviving are three brothers, Jim Detamore of West Milford, Lawrence Detamore of Alton and Richard Detamore of Naples, Fla.; two sisters, Clara Bendel of Spencer, Ohio, and Sylvia Price of Nova, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, John, George and Harley Detamore; and six sisters, Helen Davis, Lucille White, Virginia Hosey, Ruth Wightman, Juanita Carpenter and Arlene Grice.
Mrs. Huffman was a member of the Pleasant Dale United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school.
Friends will be received at Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel today from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Conrad Tenney officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Dale Cemetery at Selbyville. The Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements for Carol Ann Huffman.
