Margie Lukert Rowland, 83, of Throckmorton was a 1939 graduate of Throckmorton High School and attended business school in Abilene. She worked for General Dynamics in Fort Worth during World War II.

She and Milan Lukert were married in 1945. He preceded her in death in 1960 in Throckmorton.

She married Wade Rowland in 1963. He preceded her in death in 1992.

She worked for Throckmorton County Memorial Hospital for several years and later retired as secre tary/bookkeeper from West Texas Utilities in Throckmorton. Mrs. Rowland was a member of 'First Baptist Church of Throckmorton, served as an officer for the Ladies Golf Association and was a member of Eastern Star.

Survivors include a daughter Sandra Dowell of McKinney; two sons Mike Lukert and wife Marlene of Olney and Mark Lukert and wife Debbie of Wichita Falls; a sister Lou Russell of Abilene; a brother Wayne Fant of Fort Worth; seven grandchildren Roy Stone of Weatherford, Kyle Lukert of Lubbock, Keri Lukert of Austin, Kris Lukert of Dallas, Kaleb Lukert of Colorado Springs and Kolter and Katy Lukert of Wichita Falls; and three great-grandchildren Kaylee and Kennan Stone of Weatherford and Karson Lukert of Wichita Falls.

She was preceded in death by a brother Durward Fant.
