Lemon M. Gindlesperger, 95, Thorntown, Ind., formerly of Sipesville, died May 17, 1984, at home. Born March 31, 1889, in Lincoln Township, son of John C. and Sarah (Meyers) Gindlesperger. Preceded in death by hus parents; first wife, former Daisy B. Ankeny, 1958; one daughter, Virginia; one sister, Lydella; and three brothers, Robert, Webster and William. Survived by his widow, the former Mabel Barker and these children: Bessie, wife of Dearl Smalley, and Paul, married to Betty Gabler, both of Chambersburg; Melvin, married to Violet Ohler, Windber RD 1; Lester, married to Eleanor Fisher, Central City; Edward, married to Kathryn Ryan, Somerset; Kenneth, married to Betty Clark, and Merle, married to Marion Fisher, both of Quecreek; Dean, married to Mary, Boswell; Ray, Acosta; and Lee, Winchester, Pa.; 37 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren. Brother of Morgan of Edie. Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Friday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Hoffman Funeral Home, 409 Main St., Boswell, where service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, the Rev. Lovell Stallard. Interment, Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Sipesville.
