Graveside services for Thelma Rogers were held Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the Welty Cemetery.
Thelma Rogers was born November 10, 1915 in Mason, Oklahoma to Francis Marion "Pete" Adams and Dora Helen (Ratcliff) Adams. She passed away Sunday, June 26, 2011 in Okemah at the age of 95.
Mrs. Rogers had been a resident of the Mason and Welty area most all of her life. She was a graduate of Mason High School and the Post Master Store owner for more than 40 years. She and William Clyde Rogers were married May 2, 1946 in Kansas City, Kansas; he preceded her in death August 10, 1996. Mrs. Rogers enjoyed singing and playing guitar. She also loved to laugh and visit with friends and family and was a member of the Welty Full Gospel Church. Mrs. Roger's health had been failing for the past four years. She lived with her son, Galen, in Welty making her last few years very special.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; four sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include her son and wife; her daughter and husband; one sister; three grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Services were under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah.
