of Christian Halderman and wife Elizabeth Brower. He married Mary Kinsey in 1797 in Botetourt Co VA. Following his parents and siblings who came in 1805, he brought his family to Preble Co OH in 1806.
John Halderman was one of the first surveyors of Preble Co OH. He owned a sawmill in SW corner of Jordan's run from 1828 to 1836.
John's wife and 4 of his children are buried here also.
