Chloe Jane Frary was born July 10 of 1815 in Sandgate, Bennington County Vermont, the eldest of 9 3 sisters and 5 brothers. Her father, Ira Frary, fought in the war of 1812 with Capt John Weed's co. Her father loved music and was a singer and a musical director as hobbies. For a while they lived on the shores of Lake Champlain on the New York side.

Chole "Lady Jane", was a tailor. She and Joseph had 8 daughters and a son; they lost 2 of their daughters at young ages. They lived with their son Joseph and his wife Mary St Clair-Moon in their old age. After Joseph Sr died Chloe continued living with Joseph Jr and Mary until her death Nov 11, 1903.

She was the daughter of Fear Sturgis Find A Grave Memorial# 65608012 and she was the daughter of Temperance Gorham Find A Grave Memorial# 38605949, Temperance was the daughter of Desire Howland Find A Grave Memorial# 18676934 who was daughter of John and Elizabeth Tilley Howland Find A Grave Memorial# 21561583.John and Elizabeth were BOTH passengers on the Mayflower in 1620. She was the only child of John and Joan Hurst Tilley who were also passengers on the Mayflower. John and Joan both died the first winter along with several other people. John Howland Find A Grave Memorial# 6613808 was brought to America as a manservant to John Carver and Mr Carver and his wife took Elizabeth in as their adopted daughter after her parents death. She was only 13 years old at the time and a couple years later about 1623 John and Elizabeth got married and had family of 10 children.
