Weston, Aug 3. - After a lingering illness of stomach disease, Louis Bennett, 69, prominent citizen and business man of Weston one of the wealthiest land owners in West Virginia and Democrat nominee for governor of West Virginia in 1908, died early this morning in Atlantic City, N J, where he had lately been sojourning for the benefit of his health.
The body will be brought to his late residence here for burial.
He owned thousands of acres of valuable land in Lewis, Braxton, Gilmer and Webster counties.

"BENNETT, HON. LOUIS died at Atlantic City. Body arrived Monday and funeral will be held this evening at 6 o'clock. Deceased is survived by a widow, a daughter, Mrs. Johnson Camden McKinley of Wheeling, and a son, Louis Bennett, Jr., in the British Aviation service."
