Nancy A. Huntzinger Commons Obituary
Nancy A. Huntzinger, daughter of William and Sarah Huntzinger, was born Sept. 5, 1851, and departed this life, Jan 9, 1924, at the age of 72 years, 4 months and 4 days, she being of a family of four children, two brothers and one sister, all having departed this life before.

She was married to James A. Commons, Feb. 12, 1871, he having preceded her in death seventeen years last May. To this union five children were born, four daughters and one son, namely Ada Stottlemyer, Letitia Mushrush, Stella Buchanan, Nina [Mina] Buchanan and Arza Commons. There are fifteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends left to mourn their loss.

She became a member of the M.E. church at Fishersburg in her girl-hood days, later having transferred her membership here to the First M.E. church where she attended services as long as her health permitted and was a constant reader of her Bible until the last few months.

She was of a kind and loving disposition and patiently bore her afflictions from which she was an invalid for the last three years.

Mr. and Mrs. Commons spent most of their married life on a farm in Wayne township and were well known among the older residents of the eastern part of the county. Since they retired from farm work eighteen or nineteen years ago they have been living in Noblesville.

Obituary from Noblesville Daily Ledger, Noblesville, Indiana, Tuesday, 15 Jan 1924, p. 4 and 10 Jan 1924, p. 1, column 1.
