The widow of James Elmer Stottlemyer who died in 1937, the deceased was born June 1, 1873 in Wayne Township, Hamilton County to James A. and Nancy Ann Huntzinger Commons.
A resident of Clarksville, she was formerly from the Buffalo Corner community, west of Arcadia. She was member of the Clarksville Christian Church and the Wayne Sister and Brotherhood.
Mrs. Stottlemyer is survived by four daughters: Mrs. Alta Anderson, R. 3. Anderson; Mrs. Sharley Hersberger, of Lapel; Mrs. Loretta Ehman, Zionsville; Mrs. Mary Dellinger, rural Tipton; three sons, Raymond of R.3 Noblesville; George C., of Ft. Wayne; William H. of Kenton, Ohio; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Mina Buchanan of R. R. Greenwood, and a brother, Arza Commons, of Indianapolis, also survive.
Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Evans, Godby and Trout Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 o'clock this evening. Rev. Wayne Markward will officiate and burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
