A Navy veteran of World War II and Korea, Peanuts was a ship cook, Second Class, on the USS Princeton.
Peanuts and his family lived in Centralia more than fifty years. He was always proud of his career as a top sales representative for Kellogg Cereal Company from 1953 until retirement in 1988. He enjoyed sports, fishing, gardening, and cooking for family and friends. Volunteering for numerous organizations over the years, he was active in Central City Baptist Church, and previously First Baptist Church, Centralia. He passed away at the age of 83, and was buried December 29, 2009 with military rites by Centralia Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2055 and American Legion.
