Backwoodsman Held for Jury as Murderer in Saratoga Springs, June 2, 1928. Elwin Mosher, 69- year-old backwoodsman, today was arraigned before a police Justice here In connection with the death of Alfred Ovitt at Mosher's home In the township of Day. Mosher waived examination and was held for the Saratoga county grand Jury. Bail was to be fixed for Mosher later today. Moshor reported to county authorities several days ago that Ovitt had killed himself. The district attorney and sheriff visited the scene, investigated and arrested Mosher on a charge of murder, second degree.
