Earl Brown Newman, died at his home of a heart attack, on November 9, 1961.

Earl was born on November 8, 1888, in Ogden, Utah, a son of Henry J and Josephine Brown Newman. He was raised in Ogden and the family moved to Bothwell 57 years ago. He moved to Ogden, Utah, 16 years ago.

He married Rose Payne on June 3, 1917 in Ogden, Utah. He was a member of the LDS Church.

Surviving are his widow, Ogden, Utah; one son, Cecil Newman, Bothwell, Utah; one daughter, Mrs Glen (Gladys) Henry, Ogden, Utah; 10 grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Fred J, Jeff B, and Ike D Newman, all of Ogden, Utah; Joseph J, Salt Lake City, Utah; Ernest B, Los Angeles, California; Mrs George (Pearl) Bowcutt, Riverside, Utah; Mrs Charles (Florence) Shaffer, Escondido, California; Mrs Fred (Louise) Gephart, Tremonton, Utah; Mrs Leona Williams, Wellsville, Utah.

Burial was held in the Bothwell Cemetery, Bothwell, Utah.
