He was born Jan. 21, 1901 in Crawford County to Joseph and Stella Ford York.
Surviving are his wife, Eva Blake York; a son, Robert, Rt. 3, Sumner; daughters, Jola Earnst, Olney, Mary Wagner, Merriville, Ind., Nila Tayfora, Colorado Springs, Col., Rosella Gray, Rt. 3, Sumner, and Phyllis Fisher, Hagerstown, Md.; 23 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, Dennis, Rt. 3, Sumner, and Gene, Flatrock; and sisters, Martha Gray and Stella Branson, Flatrock, and Loletta Parker, Salinas, Kan.
Preceding him in death were two daughters, a grandson, two brothers, and two sisters.
Services were today at the Sivert Funeral Home, Sumner. Bro. Kenneth Thomas officiated, and burial was in Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
