JOHN KINCAID
John Burton Kincaid, youngest child of William and Mary Angelina Kincaid, was born March 13, 1892 in Marion County, Ia., and passed away September 7, 1965, at his home in Chariton.
He was united in marriage January 27, 1915, to Velta O. Bingaman. To this union were born three daughters and one son.
He joined the Methodist church at an early age, and at the time of his death was a member of the First Methodist church in Chariton.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, sisters, Dora Klingensmith, Laura Ross and Anna Wilson; and two brothers, George and Emmett.
He is survived by his wife, Velta; three daughters, Mrs. Orrie (Vera) Noah and Mrs. Kenneth (Atha) Crist, of Chariton and Mrs. Glenn (Ruth) Brogden, of Rolling Meadows, Ill.; and son, Virgil B. Kincaid, of Des Moines.
Also surviving are ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; brother, William, of Amarillo, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Oma Agan, of Knoxville and Mrs. Ada King, of Columbia; and many nieces and nephews.
Services were held on Thursday, Sept. 9, at 2:30 p.m., at the Beardsley-Fielding Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul C. Ellis officiating. Interment was at the Gosport cemetery.
